The Journal of Service Research is pleased to announce that the JSR Best Article Award will henceforth be known as the Roland T. Rust Best Article Award. Professor Rust, the founder and founding editor of JSR, will sponsor the award, which will include a $1000 prize to the winning authors. Rust is one of the world’s leading service experts, a winner of AMA’s McGraw-Hill/Irwin Award, the Lovelock Award, INFORMS ISMS Fellow, and many other prestigious career honors. Besides JSR, Rust also founded the Frontiers in Service Conference. He is Distinguished University Professor and David Bruce Smith Chair in Marketing at the University of Maryland. He serves as Vice President of Publications for the American Marketing Association, is Executive Director of the University of Maryland’s Center for Excellence in Service, and leads an AI course cluster in the University Honors Program.
